Why This Conversation Matters

We are living in the golden age of understanding the neuroscience behind how people perform at work – what motivates us, what threatens us, and why we behave the way we do in different situations. This research also provides important insights into the capabilities of effective leaders and high performing teams.  During this Team Talk, you will explore the core leadership capability of Building Trust. Trust is the most valuable currency exchanged on a high performing team. You are either extending or withholding trust in every interpersonal interaction you have. This Team Talk will help your group deepen trust and increase psychological safety through the practice of personal vulnerability, asking powerful questions, and deeper self-reflection.

The Warm-Up

This is a self-awareness exercise – Team Leaders will send out this document to their team before the Team Talk to get individuals thinking about the topic and “warm up” to the concept of sharing during the session.

The Conversation Guide

This tool is for the Team Leader and it provides a suggested flow for leading the conversation and getting the team talking. The guides are easy to follow, yet open enough to allow each team to shape their experience together. Every conversation ends with an invitation to practice and build upon the learning together.
