My Background

Engaging people and helping them grow and perform have been constant drivers throughout my career. I was privileged to help develop thousands of leaders and teams across GE for 25 years in a variety of businesses and countries, in roles ranging from IT training to employee communications and engagement to leadership and team development. After hundreds of engagements and thousands of connections, it is still thrilling every time I help someone achieve more of their potential.

My passion for learning emerged early, as far back as my high school job training cashiers in a supermarket. After graduating from Creighton University with a degree in Organizational Communication and HR Management, I attended Miami University’s Technical and Scientific Communication master’s program to focus on software training and documentation. That program led to my first role in GE in 1996 as a technical writer on a software development team, which quickly blossomed into a role focused on developing and engaging IT talent. Over the years, I found opportunities to apply my communication and adult learning skills in several GE businesses and functions, but with my first role at GE’s storied Crotonville Leadership Development Center in 2006, I knew I had found my niche. At Crotonville, I developed and delivered learning experiences for mid-level, executive, and senior leaders; helped businesses focus on innovation and ways to drive organic growth; and built a powerful set of practices and solutions to help teams achieve higher levels of performance. In my last four years at GE, I was privileged to lead culture and learning for GE Renewable Energy’s 40,000+ employees in over 80 countries, shaping new approaches to help everyone learn and grow each day.

Today, I am excited and humbled to be able to share my passion for learning and development with other organizations. Nothing brings me greater joy than being able to explore issues and opportunities, design transformational experiences that challenge leaders to think beyond the status quo and dream of what can be. People have said my excitement in a learning journey is contagious, and I am always pleased to share that in service of my fellow learners and their organizations.

Why I Work

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Global traveler and student. Home improvement hack. Recreational pianist. Tennis novice. PBS and NPR nerd. Dedicated dog-dad. I grew up a Midwesterner and spent many years in the Northeast, but these days I enjoy life in Coral Springs, Florida with my best friend and our dogs. My favorite vacations are those spent exploring ancient cities with friends, balanced with some quality time in a vineyard or on a beach.
