Why I Work

I strive to create a safe space where people can become their best selves. Watching someone achieve more than they even thought was possible, and knowing that I played a small part in that, gives me incredible joy and pride.”

More About Me

For more than twenty-five years I have built my career in learning and development, serving in a variety of roles across multiple industries. At GE Global Research, I partnered with world-class technologists to help them share their ideas and accomplishments more effectively, while also supporting early career engineers in building their professional identity and launching their careers. Most recently, at GE Vernova, I collaborated with executive leaders to expand their leadership capabilities and deepen their understanding of the complex challenges of organizational transformation.

My path has spanned industries including publishing, telecommunications, and secondary education—these experiences have provided me with a well-rounded perspective on development and growth. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working with professionals around the globe, gaining invaluable insights from diverse cultures and approaches to leadership.

When I’m Not Working …

My husband Chris and I live in Saratoga Springs with Ruby, our lovable (and slightly crazy) Vizsla who keeps us on our toes. Being right in town we get plenty of opportunities to wander the streets, people-watch, and sample the endless stream of bars and restaurants. Come summer, you’ll almost always find us at the racetrack. We also share a love of travel—especially when there’s something new and delicious to eat.

Our daughter, Zoe, and the love of her life, Doug, live in Vermont with their Boxers, Duchess and Zeus, who might just think they’re in charge of the household.

As for me, I adore cooking. I even tried to write a cookbook, but apparently the publishing world wasn’t ready for my genius! Instead, I share my kitchen experiments on ordinary-cook.com. When I’m not cooking, I’m usually out walking with an audiobook, and on good days, when my body will cooperate, I trade the kitchen for the pickleball court or golf course.
