  • Leader as Coach

Marco Ortolina is an Executive Coach and Leadership Development consultant with extensive international experience supporting senior leaders and teams navigating complexity, change, and growth. Having spent many years in senior leadership roles within global organizations, Marco brings a deep, first-hand understanding of the realities leaders face — from strategic decision-making to leading people through uncertainty. His work focuses on helping leaders slow down, think more clearly, and translate insight into meaningful action. Marco combines reflective depth with pragmatic challenge, creating the conditions for greater ownership, judgment, and impact. He works with leaders who want to grow not only in performance, but in awareness and presence — and who recognize that sustainable change starts with how they lead themselves.

Why I Work

I see my work in leadership development as a calling rather than a role. I am driven by a deep belief that when people grow in awareness and ownership, meaningful change becomes possible — for them and for those around them.

More About Me

I was born and raised in Italy and began my professional journey there before building an international career that first took me to France, then to the UK, and eventually back to France, where I live today. Working and leading across different cultural and organizational contexts has deeply shaped how I understand leadership, relationships, and change.

Before becoming an executive coach and leadership development expert, I spent many years in senior leadership roles within global organizations. I led teams, managed businesses, and experienced first-hand the pressure, ambiguity, and responsibility that come with leadership in complex environments. These years in corporate roles continue to inform and ground my work today.

I now focus my professional energy on executive coaching, leadership development, team development, and facilitation. I work with leaders and teams who are navigating transitions, growth, or increasing complexity, supporting them in slowing down, thinking more clearly, and making intentional choices about how they lead.

My approach combines deep listening with thoughtful challenge, always with an eye on action. I am particularly interested in how insight translates into sustainable behavioural change — and how leaders can turn reflection into practical shifts in the way they think, decide, and work with others.I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and work fluently in Italian, French, and English.

When I’m Not Working …

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and continuing to learn — something I seem unable to stop doing. I have two trilingual daughters, a natural outcome of many years spent living and working across different countries.

I recharge by being outdoors, whether on a golf course or trekking in the Alps, where long walks and fresh air do wonders for perspective. I am also on a personal mission to get serious about cooking — still very much a work in progress, but an enjoyable one.

Between family life, time in nature, and new interests, I value moments that keep me curious, grounded, and smiling — and that quietly remind me there is always more to learn, both at work and beyond.
