Why I Work

“I believe that unlocking a person’s potential creates a ripple effect that positively impacts other people and the world around them. For me, the magic happens at the “light-bulb” moment—the instant when someone experiences a shift in perspective that sparks new possibilities. This shift leads to real change in behavior, and that’s where transformation begins.”

More About Me

I’ve built my career by aligning my strengths, interests, and the evolving needs of the businesses where I worked. After graduating from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a minor in International Studies, I began my professional journey at McCann Erickson in advertising. There, I honed my skills in project and account management, and crafted messages that influenced consumer behavior.

While I enjoyed advertising, I felt a pull to work more closely with people, so I pursued an MBA at Emory’s Goizueta Business School with a focus on Leadership. Over the next 10 years at General Electric (GE), I took on diverse roles within HR and Organizational Development supporting key business areas such as Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales. These experiences helped me develop a “spidey sense” for collaborating with people from a variety of backgrounds and functions, which became one of my greatest assets.

As I grew in my HR career, I was tapped to facilitate courses on a variety of topics, including leadership and inclusion. The positive feedback I received, combined with my dedication to helping others grow, led me to transition into a full-time Learning & Development role. For seven years, I served as the Americas Regional Learning Leader and Inclusion Learning Leader at GE Aerospace, where I was able to design and deliver programs that fostered both personal and organizational effectiveness.

Today, I leverage my experience to drive impactful results through the facilitation of impactful conversations. I’m particularly passionate about leadership, psychological safety, and wellness— believing that these elements are key ingredients to building strong relationships, cohesive teams, and high-performing organizations.

When I’m Not Working …

Originally from the Northeastern United States, but now I call Atlanta, Georgia my home. I live there with my husband, Brian, our two middle-school-aged sons, Bryson and Caden, and our Vizsla dog Mazie (the most Velcro-y of the bunch). We’re a soccer-loving family, so whether we’re playing or watching, it’s a big part of our lives. Traveling is another shared passion – we love exploring new places and cultures, and we're always planning our next family adventure. When I need some quiet time to think or clear my mind, I turn to running, which is my go-to solution for just about anything. (That and tropical beaches, but running is more accessible and feasible for me on a daily basis!)
