Ingen Fitzhugh is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) who partners with executives and executive teams to lead with clarity, adaptability, and impact. Her evidence-based approach is grounded in two decades at Amazon, where she worked directly with senior leaders and teams as the company scaled from a 15,000-person online retailer to a global enterprise of nearly two million employees. Across that transformation, she coached leaders through pivotal inflection points—onboarding into new organizations, expanding scope, stepping into larger roles, and navigating the complexities of fast-growing or newly formed teams.

Ingen specializes in moments when what has always worked no longer scales. Whether supporting an executive in transition, a leadership team pursuing ambitious new goals, or an organization preparing for succession, she helps clients surface insight, reorient around what’s needed now, and integrate new ways of thinking and leading. Her work spans tech, product, sales, marketing, entertainment, retail, operations, and advertising, offering a coaching experience that is rigorous, reflective, and real.

Why I Work

“Real growth happens when leaders see themselves clearly and understand their impact. Supporting them as they turn that awareness into new habits that expand possibilities for themselves and for the people who rely on them is the most meaningful work I know.”

What Our Clients Say

“As a senior executive there are not many places that I can be fully vulnerable or where I can allow the focus to be entirely on me.  Ingen was able to create this 'safe place' for me which was invaluable as I transitioned into a new role at a new company.  She asked insightful questions that helped me find the answers that were inside me -- never judging or telling me what to do.  I can say with 100% confidence that I have made better work AND life decisions this past year because of the time I spent working with Ingen.”

More About Me

I’ve spent my entire career helping people grow into the leaders they’re meant to be. I joined Amazon in 2005, long before it became the global powerhouse it is today. I grew up professionally inside of an environment where scale, complexity, and possibility were expanding every single day. Over 20 years, I had the privilege of walking alongside leaders and teams as they built new businesses, took bold risks, shaped cultures, and discovered who they were at their best.

My path unfolded naturally as I followed the work that deepened my understanding of people—first through talent acquisition, then into leadership development, assessment, and ultimately executive coaching. Each step built on the last, giving me a front-row seat to how leaders think, grow, struggle, and thrive. I found my home in coaching because there's nothing quite like witnessing a leader make sense of their story, face a hard truth, claim their strengths, or realize they’re capable of more than they believed.

As a practitioner at The People Side, I bring that same depth, rigor, and heart to executives and teams across industries. My approach is simple: start with real data, honor the uniqueness of every leader and team, and grow from what's actually true—not from a pre-set model. I believe leadership growth should feel human, brave, and deeply connected to a leader's individual sense of purpose.

This work has never felt like a job. It feels like a calling, and I'm grateful every day to do it.

When I’m Not Working …

When I'm not working with leaders you can find me running, reading, or acting as Chief Operating Officer and chauffer to my nine and twelve-year old children. Our weekends are filled with ultimate frisbee and soccer games, playdates, and birthday parties. My focus at this stage of life is soaking in all the goodness of watching my kids grow up and spending lots of time with my parents who are living proof that age is nothing but a number. On the rare occasion that my partner and I do sneak away, you can find us soaking up the sun or going on long, meandering walks through new international cities.
