My Background

After graduating from the College of Saint Benedict with Management and Communication degrees, I transitioned into retail at Target Corporation. I spent my career working in a fast paced environment meeting business goals through building relationships and my drive for getting great work done. I also learned quickly that collaborating with partners across the organization was something that motivated me. These foundational skills led to an HR Consultant role in Learning & Development where I designed new hire training programs, built curriculum, mentored new learners and led team initiatives. Throughout my years of experience supporting many parts of the retail business, I found a passion for leadership development and designing rich, deeply human and immersive programs for all levels of leaders. It’s truly rewarding when I get to focus my efforts on a learner’s needs and create a meaningful experience that allows them to REALLY get to know themselves.

Today, I’m expanding my breadth into new industries. I get to apply my expertise of asking thoughtful questions to our clients so I can get to know their anticipated and sometimes, not-yet- discovered needs, in order to create an experience unique to them. Whether it’s developing a new team member or leader, I care about inspiring others to grow into a better version of themselves.

I’ve also had the privilege of a flexible work arrangement for the past 10 years, which has allowed me to balance my family and the work I love. I’ve personally experienced the value this type of schedule can have and I’m excited to share more broadly with other organizations what it takes to make it a success.

Why I Work

“I work to make a difference with people and the communities they call their own. I love to create environments that allow deep connections and powerful learning moments to happen, so others can live a more intentional life, aligned with their gifts. I hope to deliver amazing experiences to our clients so they can do better in their jobs, at their workplaces and ultimately, with their families.”

When I Am Not Working

I live “way out west” of the Twin Cities in the quaint little town of Waconia, Minnesota. It offers the space and sights I have always known and loved, since growing up in a small farming community in southwest Minnesota. My husband Jeff and I have a busy household, with five kids…Maxwell, Meredith, Julia, Charlotte and Samuel. It’s a bit wild most days but we wouldn’t have it any other way. I love to explore with my family, enjoying nature together out and about or sitting on my front step with a good book soaking in the sunrise. Recently, I’ve decided to use my curiosity about people’s stories and my desire to inspire others, by working towards my Life Coaching certification. I’m also an active volunteer in our church and am honored anytime I get to be a part of or lead one of our small group studies.
