Why I Work
My personal mission is to encourage, affirm, and realize -- in lasting and renewable ways -- beauty, love, growth, and respect for all human beings. I want to help people grow into world-class leaders and the best humans they can be. I encourage and challenge everyone I interact with to lead and live their lives to the fullest, and to use their positions to help others do the same.”

Chief Technology Officer
More About Me
With 35 years of experience leading global teams in corporate environments, I bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to my work as a full-time executive coach and leadership development consultant. My background includes leading technology teams who delivered mission-critical business results while also coaching and mentoring senior leaders within these functions.
Over the course of my career, I’ve led teams and coached leaders at four Fortune 125 companies, including 16 years at the Target Corporation and four years at UnitedHealth Group. At Target and UHG, I led global technology teams across India, the Philippines, and the U.S., and was entrusted with coaching executives up to the VP level. My experience spans both large corporations and small to mid-size companies, where I’ve worked with hundreds of leaders, entrepreneurs, and C-suite executives to drive meaningful results while fostering healthy, high-performing teams.
Today, I continue to coach senior leaders internationally and also mentor other executive coaches. I specialize in helping individuals lean into their authentic selves to become stronger, more fulfilled leaders personally while encouraging them to bring that same authenticity to their work.
I hold dual undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Music Performance from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the University of St. Thomas.
When I’m Not Working …
I live in Savage, Minnesota with my amazing wife, Michael. Our terrific kids all decided on three very different colleges and areas of study: Autumn graduated from Berklee School of Music in Boston and is going to Electronic Music Production and Design. Ella graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Zoology. And Sophia is at Hamline University here in Minnesota studying Political Science.
Michael and I’ve enjoyed almost 30 years of marriage, living in Wisconsin and Texas before moving back to Minnesota. As a family we enjoy music and art and all things creative -- thought-provoking movies, board games, community service, and travel. I am a tea drinker, a musician, and a writer working on my first book: Survivor’s Gratitude: The Gifts of Cancer, Clarity, and Connection. My greatest privileges are to be a dad to my kids, a husband to my wife, and to touch as many people as possible with the joy of being alive and living an intentional life.
